Good questions, straight answers
When Can You Come Out?
Emergency callouts don't run on a schedule. This covers what happens when you pick up the phone.
What information do you need when I call?
Just tell us what's happening, roughly when it started, and your address in Bondi. If water's actively flowing, knowing where the shut-off valve is helps too. We'll ask a few quick questions to work out what's needed before anyone's dispatched.
What counts as an emergency?
Burst pipes, no hot water, a blocked toilet that's the only one in the house, gas smells, and anything actively flooding a room all count. If you're not sure, call anyway. We'd rather talk it through than have you guess wrong.
What happens after I call?
A real person answers and asks what's going on, then we work out the right response together. You'll get a fair price agreed before any work starts, with nothing sprung on you afterward.
Can I request a specific time window?
We'll always try to work around your day. For genuine emergencies we move as fast as we can regardless of the hour, and for less urgent jobs we're happy to lock in a window that suits you.

Pricing and Quotes
Money questions matter as much as the plumbing itself, so here's how we handle price.
How do you decide what a fair price is for emergency work?
We work out a fair price based on what actually needs doing, not what time of day it is. You get that number confirmed before we lift a tool, and it holds firm once we're underway.
Do you give quotes over the phone?
We can talk you through what's likely involved once we know what's going on, but the firm price waits until we've seen the job in person. No two blocked drains or burst pipes behave quite the same, so we look before we quote.
Do prices change once the work starts?
No. Fair, upfront pricing, no surprises is the whole point, and if the scope grows once we're underway, we pause, explain what's changed and why, and nothing extra proceeds until you've signed off on the new figure.
Do returning customers get a better price?
Every customer gets treated the same, whether it's your first call or your fifth, with the same honest quote and no loyalty premium either way. We'd rather every customer trust the number they're quoted than chase a discount for coming back.

Bondi Homes and Their Pipes
Bondi's housing stock throws up its own set of plumbing quirks, so a few of these questions are specific to the suburb.
What local factors do you consider before quoting on a job in Bondi?
Bondi's a mix of Federation cottages and older walk-up flats, so we factor in pipe age and material before quoting. Homes closer to the coast also carry heavier salt-air corrosion on fittings and hot-water units, which we check for on arrival.
Is stormwater flooding common in parts of Bondi?
The land falls from Bondi Junction down toward the beach, so lower streets can see stormwater pond or surcharge during heavy rain. Older drainage on those blocks handles less volume than modern lines, which is worth knowing if you're on the lower end of the slope.
Do apartments in Bondi have different plumbing issues to houses?
Yes. Bondi's apartment blocks often run shared or ageing hot-water systems and older supply risers, so a fault can affect more than one unit at once. Houses tend to deal with individual pipe age and drainage issues instead.
How often should older Bondi homes get their plumbing checked?
If your home dates to the Federation era or the postwar walk-up boom, an annual check catches corrosion and ageing pipework before it becomes an emergency. Coastal salt air here means fittings wear faster than inland suburbs, so don't leave it too long.

Licensing and Responsibility
Licensing questions come up a lot, especially with gas work involved.
Are you insured if something goes wrong during the job?
Yes, insurance sits alongside our licensing on every job we take on. It's part of why we can offer a genuine Lifetime Labour Warranty on the work we do.
Is it safe to try a DIY fix before you arrive?
For a dripping tap or a slow drain, turning off the nearest isolation valve is usually fine while you wait. For a gas smell, leave the property, don't touch switches, and call us from outside. Safety comes first, always.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. NSW Plumbing Licence #292427C covers our plumbing work, and we carry gas licensing too, so a burst pipe and a gas smell both get handled by the one qualified visit.
What does Quality Workmanship Guaranteed mean?
It means if something we've fitted or repaired isn't right, putting it right doesn't cost you a cent more. Paired with our Lifetime Labour Warranty, it's our word that the job's not finished until it's actually done properly.
